Spring-Summer 2014 – Hermes kept everything elegant and classic this season, with beautifully made jackets and trousers in cobalt, beige and grey. It wasn’t all completely formal however, with slouchy grey sweatshirts and sports jackets with raglan sleeves and big hoods. The colour scheme becomes more daring as the clothes become more casual, with a lot of burgundies, grey-blues and navy. The sleeves are short on a lot of the garments and there is a lot of leather being used. One of my favourite pieces is a grey all-in-one that should be associated with workwear and yet it looks practical enough for everyday. There is also a pattern that has been used on some of the shirts and scarves; it is a abstract geometric print in different shades of blue and this creates a wonderful contrast to the otherwise plain coloured garments.
