Spring-Summer 2014 – Lanvin’s collection this season definitely evokes the feeling of smart/casual. There are smart trousers with long overcoats that have no shape, tuxedo jackets with shorts and sleeveless shirts with smart tight fitting trousers and small bags on belts that are fastened around the waist. There are a lot of loose fitting jersey tops, vest and trousers and even some pieces which hint towards sportwear with brighter colours and patterned parts. The colours are different to what I would expect from a Spring/Summer collection; muted browns and navy and black, but there is a splash of colour with hot pink and pale blue. It is definitely the garments which make this collection obviously Spring/Summer.
