Jenny Packam
Jenny Packam Women Autumn-Winter 2015 – Jenny Packam’s collection glistened, literally, across the runway with a variety of deep hues (of burnt oranges and navy blues, along with bold black and white) and sparkles – this collection is somewhat of a contrast to Packam’s S/S15 collection. You could not only see the crystal queen’s walk but the gentle swishing of beads (in all sorts of sizes) paced a rain like sound – creating the perfect runway mood for an autumn/winter collection.
Despite this, Packam’s collection received slight criticism – the beads looked to heavy to wear and to delicate – what would happen if the designs broke across the runway? How does the collection, especially the coats, stand up within it’s own right? This collection seems more couture than ready-to-wear in some pieces, despite it’s extravagant beauty. There are also pieces that have very little embellishment, just enough to add a girly twinkle to the slim-fit clothing.
