Etro Women Spring Summer 2016

This season Veronica Etro offers up a very romantic and feminine take on the generally Bohemian

brand. Gauzy dresses in delicate floral patterns were the focal point of this collection, both short and long. Skirts in shimmering layers accentuated the movements of each model, while deep, ruffled necklines drew the eye down to the waist.

Embroidered belts and satin ribbons again defined waists. Floral patterns ran through the entire collection, beginning in demure colors such as white and beige, before turning to darker tones. The trademark paisley patterns appear on skirts and loose pants, while delicate lace ran along several hemlines, adding peeks of skin to sleeves and dresses. Intricate embroidery abounds, adding further detail patterned pieces, as well as to jackets and handbags. The throat, the waist and the ankles are all key to this collection – careful wrapping with ribbons draws the eye to each, in the form of graceful chokers at the throat and delicately wrapping ballerina flats at the feet. Embroidered boots lace to the knee under shorter skirts.

A few of the most structured pieces – namely a pale green bustier and a vest featuring a lace ruffle along the bottom – combine to give a gypsy feeling to the already whimsical collection.
