Viktor & Rolf

Spring – Summer 2014 – Viktor & Rolf are enrolling us in prep school for the coming season, almost a nod to British uniforms and the tennis attire; they have produced a very demure collection. Again the sports theme is evident but in a more lateral way with logo emblazed chest pockets on royal blue jackets and pleated skirts. Such a shift in direction for the duo team from last season and even the one before, I feel it is lacking their signature style what excites us about their pieces.

The shapes are very regimented in creating a jacket, shirt, and tux all along the same aesthetics of a prep school attendee. It is evident that their tailoring skills are fabulous but the only stand out piece had to be the leather and wool contrast panel biker waistcoat. Sadly for summer 2014 Viktor & Rolf has not impressed.
