Spring-Summer 2013 – Presenting the older, more mature Armani collection, Giorgio chose to concentrate on silver and blue hues in what seemed to be an underwater experience. Shaped and scaled jackets were worn with wide trousers which fell just short of the ankles. The fluid silhouette of the clothes were by nature shiny with metallic silvers and blues paired with slick shiny pumps. The separates were seamless, such the fluidity was present with long jackets and smart laying with tapered trousers, tunics and cropped jackets. Next came marine blue undulating dresses made out of the softest silks worn over chiffon trousers with soft chiffon ties nipping in the waist. The three piece layering worked beautifully with ripple prints paired with softest blues. Shimmering sequined and embellished tops and dresses were all offset with hanging trousers yet it was arguable the starstruck dresses that stole the show; featuring iridescent orbs they captured the rich, classic and yet incredible wearable nature of the collection; magic!
