Zac Posen

Autumn – Winter 2013/14

There was no sense of lightness for Zac Posen’s fall collection – a rich, luxurious style that reflected the clothing also mirrored the New York Plaza location. He used intense jewel colours in most of his pieces such as his burnt orange peplum flared top and the dark ruby velvet skirts. Posen used high class embroidery creating flawless detail certainly fit for royalty and hints of oriental patterns enhanced the look he was aiming for.

Lavish sapphire satin fabric alongside  floating plum chiffon became the perfect equation for upscale evening wear. Trousers featured in the collection with long sleeved, patterned tops creating a classic image. The magnificence of the brown bustier gown, embellished with gold detail was nothing short of an artistic creation that left mouths open. Despite Zac Posen being occupied with Project Runway and his three clothing lines, his busy lifestyle did not leave his signature collection uncared for.
