Autumn-Winter 2011/12 –  The print and the pattern was salient for Dolce & Gabbana this Spring Summer. The emblem of stars and music, combined with renaissance prints and lacy florals were everywhere.  In contrast, the masculine pinstriped suits and boyish braces were worn with pink brogues and trilbies. Long waist coats were worn by themselves, or under sequined blazers adding a sparkle for a spot of evening-wear. The mixture of menswear into women’s wear worked fantastically. Huge bright pink or yellow blazers were worn with trilbies and brogues were given a pink or green adaptation. Prints and patterns were in constant contrast: musical note or floral pussy-bow blouses were worn with star print pencil skirts, whilst star print dresses championed blocks of black lace. Huge glittered star drop earrings matched star print stretchy dresses, sequin dresses and long billowing maxi dresses. Red jeweled dresses, tiger print and fur coats were evidence of how much the collection encompassed.
