D&G

Autumn-Winter 2011/12 –  A campaign that was uncanny with Henry Holland, D&G’s collection was pop-tastic. Bold letters hit the catwalk with a vengeance, printed on pencil skirts and white blouses. An oversized white t-shirt had the words “Talking about you” emblazoned across it and the flashes of neon colour were a clear nod to Holland’s designs: a bright orange shiny silk cropped bomber jacket (lined in black and pink fur) and a Lsycra tube dress are evidence of this. Leggings were everywhere in the collection and when teamed with the colourful Perspex letter necklaces, there was a definite 80’s feel.  Marabou feathered tutus were fun for winter frolics; they came in sweetshop shades of yellow, pink, mint, orange, purple and fuchsia. The array of colours epitomised the excitement the collection gave off. Heeled trainers (in the style of Converse) walked down the catwalk to the tune of Madonna’s Strike a Pose: Ultimate fun.
