Autumn-Winter 2012/13 – Tomas Maier created an elegant man. When you put a woman in a floor length gown and a pair of lengthening heels, she floats like a glamorous ice dancer. This was seemingly the point for men in this AW 2012 collection. With a slim trouser, tailored longer jacket slightly short in the arm and skinny tie, the impression that we get is elongation.  He played with textures, casting shadows on the garments with geometric shapes in patent, velvet and leather. He gave the boot a slight heel, in a rock and roll meets biker style, and enhanced this with slim leather trousers and velvet shoulder detail on a jacket, once again creating height and elegance. He kept the colour pallet dark and uniform, giving the collection a certain classiness.
