Lanvin

Lanvin Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Simple, clean and pretty are three words that come to mind when describing Lanvin’s collection this season.

Muted colours of pink, white and black dominated the runway, appropriately paired with soft materials of silk, tulled ruffles and delicately laced blouses to give an air of French romanticism. Dresses were given a practical sophistication with a stand out pairing of a long, blue monochrome coat with a subtly coloured, floor length satin dress highlighting a Parisian desirability. Flowing trousers also offered a refined elegance, offset by a gathered halter neck with ruffled edges and a small clutch. Hair was equally modest, with the flat side partings adding to the already established sense of pure grace and allure.

Almost all looks were finished off with a dreamy ballet pump laced to the ankle or a quiet boot in black or midnight blue. This dedication to the polished and the graceful was most exquisitely displayed through an off-the-shoulder, see-through dress with pleated skirt detailing and fishnet tights; signaling a modern-day take on the traditional genteel.
