Emilio Pucci

Emilio Pucci Woman Spring Summer 2017 – Massimo Giorgetti has previously strayed from the classic codes of Emilio Pucci however this season saw him return to archive pieces as he seemingly continues to consider his signature for the house. The prints were modernised through magnifying and abstraction but were still recognisable to a degree despite being minimised.

Pale turquoise, acid yellow, red and lilac made up the colour palette. Jersey was used to create dreamy draped dresses and jumpsuits, which were occasionally complemented with sequined bodies. Shapes were simple, making an interesting contrast to the detailed silhouettes seen elsewhere in Milan.

Accessories, much like everything else, were simple. Ankle boots were in bright primary colours or matching prints and jewellery consisted of modern half hoop earrings. Bags added a slightly folky feel with long woven tassels.

It was a simplistic show, which may have missed the mark for some but is bound to do well this season considering the wide use of colour.
