According to WWD, 32-year-old French designer Romain Kremer has taken a full-time role with the international footwear label. The designer first worked with Camper in 2009 on the Camper Together project, which has also seen capsule collections of shoes from Belgian designers Veronique Branquinho and Bernhard Willhelm. Kremer has been consulting on the main collection since 2013.

Kremer shot to success in 2005 when he picked up the Special Award for Creativity at the Hyères Festival and showed his own menswear label in Paris from 2006. In 2011, he was tapped by then Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti as head menswear designer for the French luxury brand.

The first full Camper collection designed by Romain Kremer will reportedly hit stores in September. He has also directed and photographed the accompanying campaign. The Mallorcan footwear brand has around 400 stores in 50 countries around the world.
