Chanel visits Tokyo for Métiers d’Art

The Asian re-run is becoming something of a regular trend and Chanel is highly aware of the benefits. The Parisian brand staged a full re-run of its Métiers d’Art show, which first took place in Dallas last December in the Toranomon Hills skyscraper development located by the green parks of the Imperial Palace, Hibiya park, Atago Hill and Shiba Park.

The show didn’t disappoint, with Karl Lagerfeld’s staged vision of the Wild West including a traditional saloon-themed set, and some of the biggest models in the industry strutting their stuff. Chanel face Alice Dellal, model Jerry Hall, K-Pop star G-Dragon and a range of Japanese celebrities including actress Yu Yamada and singer Mika Nakashima were all present for the show and the after party.

The brand is also presenting the collection in a pop-up ‘ephemeral boutique’ in Aspen set to appear from June 26 through July 6 in the luxury US mountain resort.

Recent off-schedule show re-runs include Céline’s catwalk presentation in Beijing at the end of May.
