Shining

Shining is when a garment or accessory projects light. A look of shining usually takes form in metals and metallic colours, normally designed in an array of fabrics including jersey or in some cases leather.

A look often adapted in the 1980s, jerseys would shine on through this decade and in early 2000 the same shine would pronounce itself on leather biker jackets.

Garments shone on the catwalks for S/S 2012 catching the light in sky blues from Christopher Kane, sophisticated over the knee silvers from Giles and shining plastic coated yellows taking form in jackets and skirts from Mulberry.
