Valentino

Valentino Man Spring-Summer 2017 – The Valentino Man Spring-Summer 2017 collection exhibited in Paris radiated the brand’s signature style; that of suaveness and sophistication. There was a hint of ‘Americana’ throughout the collection in the form of blue denim jeans, classic white t-shirts and American bald eagle designs, which allowed for a seemingly ready to wear assemblage of styles. This was also a collection with a large military influence, with tailored suits sporting Valentino’s signature green and brown camouflage print. When not exhibiting blue denims or camouflage greens, the colour palate stuck with monochromes, from cool greys to off whites. Despite the pieces often remaining simple, Valentino was unafraid to play around with some subtle stud detailing around collars or on cuffs. Footwear included a modern take on the brogue with chunky soles that drew many glances as the models stomped down the catwalk. Overall, the Valentino show showcased a variety of textures, materials and colours, all of which worked together to create an exquisitely crafted collection.
