Altuzarra

Spring-Summer 2015 – Schoolgirl gingham to futuristic meshwork don’t instantly come across as something that work well together, but for Joseph Altuzarra’s SS15 collection it just about did. Gingham at first lured the viewer into thinking it would be a rather tame, frugal affair, but in retrospection the sexiness that Altuzarra seems to exude in his style came across, with pencil skirts with thigh high slits and fabric which clung to the body.

Intricate lattice in tones of brown and black were interspersed with tight pencil skirts and swimsuits, and all seemed to link effortlessly together with the theme of the modern women – choosing when to show their body and to whom with selective cut out work from the mesh, slits and translucent material. Show stopping layered dresses floating down the runway to conclude the collection in a billowing lavishness that only Altuzarra could provide.
