Phillip Lim

Spring-Summer 2014 – In an act of feeling “very elemental” for spring Lim, covered the entire floor with glistening white rocks: soft on the eyes but sharp on the feet!

In ode to our planet, Lim wanted his collection to express a terrestrial awareness through mineral shades and decorative but subtly distinctive effects. Graphics like a contour scales of mountains or waves, jackets and trousers that feature prints like wood grain or visual features of decay. These earthly elements complete the collection, sparking interest to shapes that are otherwise very stark but structured.

Rooted with urban basics of sheer panelled dresses, kimono sleeves, boxy jackets, tapered trousers and shirts called for a twist to stray from the conventional: sci-fi palettes of pastels and murky metallic enhanced the ensembles. Take note of the futuristic white leather shift with Western fringed shoulders. Love urban? Then this is one to add to the wish list.
