Oscar De la Renta

Spring-Summer 2014 – The Oscar de la Renta family conducted two of one show, staging their remarkable spring/summer’ 14 collection. One sitting was for press and buyers, another for a selected group of 350 devoted customers and friends of the house. With a punctual start, the sensational parade of billowing evening gowns began. Voluptuous “peasant” blouses (as referred to by De la Renta himself) appeared in sheer black lattice and white lace whilst crochet frocks and dresses were methodically hemmed with strings of pearls.

The breath-taking pieces regularly initiated gasps from all ages. From the younger to the older admirers both draped in diamonds and rich colour, everyone was in awe: showing the audiences’ testament to the age-irrelevant status behind the collection. From checkers, monochrome and royal blue, rolling into bursts of bright colours and floral patterned ensembles, all which will fit perfectly in every woman’s wardrobe this summer.
