Ann Demeulemeester
Spring – Summer 2014
Ann Demeulemeester Spring 2014 collection is very far from the pastels, light and airy trends we have been seeing on the catwalk since the beginning of the fashion weeks. She opted for dark colours with a gothic edge and a mysterious feel. All models wore gigantic veils which sometimes were covering their entire face, putting the emphasis on the elongated silhouettes.
Among all this darkness there was a red velvety elaborated dress that stand out because of its colourness. Nevertheless, Demeulemeester’s monochrome pieces were not far from perfection. The Belgium designer has her very own aesthetic but season after season she is always producing fresh looks.
