Spring – Summer 2014 – Alexander McQueen as usual was everything that we hadn’t seen, bringing on a fierce and bold collection, which resembled chic warrior chic’s in buckled straps with laser cut leather skirts and brass hats. Silhouettes were clean and sharp but very abrupt with the use of bold panel detailing in rich colours, quite a dark yet sultry pallet for the brand. We move onto the more wearable pieces i  a monochrome print and white cut out pieces in a tiered structure, creating an innocence within the collection. It’s a fuse between roman warriors and a pop art pallet. It’s a refreshing collection for Paris and one for McQueen with feathered capes and raffia skirts. Not every piece we will see off the catwalk but it’s not let us not in been the forefront of reinvention each season.
