Spring-Summer 2011 – Opening with one of the leading rock ladies herself, Beth Ditto, meant that this was just the introduction to a collection which simply ‘rocked out’. A splash of Punk here and a dab of Goth there created a surreal collection that was dark yet also wild.  Leather was hot on the cards throughout the show. A rocking red all leather suit was the pinnacle of this. Notwithstanding the variation of biker jackets which came in an array of styles and colours. Bold geometric shoulders darted off the models jackets. At other times cropped jackets maintained the hard biker look. With the models spiky black hair, a punk veneer made even the feminine clothes rebel. Floral chiffons and turquoise ruffles were prevalent but when teemed with lace and fish net tights they were anything but romantic. Denim was an important factor in this collection, often blazoned in lace to push that Gothic statement. This was a badass collection which is not for the faint-hearted. Rock Chick’s rejoice!
