Moschino

Autumn-Winter 2013/14

Rosella Jardini led Moschino into another creative season and this time the label has come over all Scottish. The collection was a powerful mixture of Brit-Pop and Scottish pride. Rosella reinvented tartan for a new season, Moschino’s signature red was abundant but integrated into a new take on plaid it seemed totally fresh.

The 90’s collection was filled with structured pieces clad in the grown up and stylish tartan that Rosella created. The individual elements of the collection don’t sound like they should work together, tartan, masculine tailoring,  a nod to military and lots of embellishment. But in fact they did, and remarkably well. The collection hung together elegantly and Moschino has made tartan the height of cool once again.
