Autumn-Winter 2010/11 – There’s no denying that Emporio Armani knows the meaning of luxury. This was all too clear for his autumn to winter collection. The power dresses and strict tailoring he is renown for was as competent as ever. Short fur and snakeskin jackets fell just above the waist and were paired with conservative skirts and smart silk trousers. The brilliant tailoring was particularly potent with a black jacket-skirt combo; perfectly cut shoulders had all the ingredients of power dressing. Next came the biker chic. Her leather jacket fell with oversized collars fell off the shoulder and given that ultra-mod look with sunglasses and a rockingly short haircut. Organza and frills added an air of femininity and the one shoulder dresses added a younger sex appeal. Black faux-fur shawls were a must-have touch for evening-wear and not to be forgotten were the large-flower corsages and twirling silhouettes.
