Matthew Miller

Matthew Miller Men Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – “I never saw beauty as being something that was a physical object. I fundamentally see beauty as being a moment in time, a fleeting feeling, a scar, a memory, an experience, a sense of freedom.” – Matthew Miller

Matthew Miller’s major aesthetics are individuality, innovative, masculinity and impact of modern world. “Fear Itself” is what Matthew Miller calls his fall/winter 2017 menswear show. This show displays everyone’s disturbed emotions of Brexit Era. The feelings like mourning, humiliation and darkness was showcased by painting the entire collection in colour BLACK. Silhouettes were more retained towards basic structure. Technical fabrics were used by fusing them to construct edgy silhouettes. Leather jackets, long cardigans, hoods and cigarette pants were seen. A bit of rebellious attitude was reflecting. The most expressive feature of this collection was the bleeding nose and eyes and some extravagant props were noticed. Scary emotions towards Brexit era was seen all over this season.
