Spring-Summer 2013 – Basic staples were what Van Assche wanted to give men in this collection. Every wardrobe needs a white T-shirt, beige chinos and a black jacket. “The white T-shirt is the real thing. It’s one of those basics that’s undeniably sexy” and where he produced a distinctly wearable collection that will go down well in stores, the catwalk felt a bit flat for it. Maybe that was the point, to not overcomplicate thing as keep to the basics, after all, for a collection to be wearable surely that is the highest complement and the point of it all.
