Giorgio Armani

Autumn-Winter 2011/12 – Shiny happy people laughing, the start of this ambiguous collection showed mismatched 3 piece suits in the aw colours, soft grey pressed velvet with a black velvet waistcoat and dark grey tweed finished with suede gloves and brown suede shoes. Giorgio juxtaposed smart with casual, showing business suits with the fabric and style of a tracksuit pant teamed with a very smart overcoat. The more casual looks still left an air of luxe about them with quilted velvet jackets and kid leather gloves. His Quilted trousers and fur lined, calf length, leather jackets sent shivers up my spine with desire. This was definitely a collection of indulgence. He finished with beautifully draped and tailored silk suits in demure colours with a pop of a pink, orange or lilac shirt.
