Louis Vuitton Man Spring-Summer 2017 – Creative director Kim Jones once again wowed at the Louis Vuitton Man Spring Summer 2017 catwalk show in Paris. The collection echoes ideas and concepts of Africa, a place where Jones spent most of his childhood. Through crisp, cool safari like colours such as sandy beiges and khaki greens, Jones manages to bring this sense of escapism and travel to the catwalk, something which fits perfectly with the signature style of the Louis Vuitton label. Various shades and tones aside, this is a Louis Vuitton collection rich in terms of textures, prints and embellishments. Eye-catching zebra and crocodile prints come to the forefront on a series of t-shirts, again evoking a sense of escapism. Intricate zig-zag beading embellishment is suggestive of the tribal, adding a rustic yet luxe edge to the show. In terms of materials, there is a diverse mix, from cool cottons to slippery silks all of which work together to form a coherent and inspiring collection.
