House of Holland Women Spring Summer 2016 – A desert highway was the setting for Henry’s tropical presentation. With expectations running high after a delayed start, the designer was under pressure to deliver. And it’s safe to say he succeeded.
From the moment Lady Leshurr opened the show with a live performance of Brush your Teeth, the party atmosphere set in. Tropical florals were combined with leopard print and patchwork suede in a playful mashup. Models wore oversized, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas style aviators and colourful feathered boots with sports socks. Khaki padded gilets were worn over printed dresses and cropped trousers for a quirky safari vibe. Stripes came into play with lace up necklines and various sparkling bugs popped up in the form of brooches and applique. To be fair there wasn’t much NOT going on at House of Holland, it was a chaotic celebration of style.
To finish, the girls stood in rows whilst a few of Henry’s celebrity friends were invited to shop straight from the show floor. Despite the tropical surroundings, Henry’s brand always has London running through its core.
