Emilia Wickstead Women Spring Summer 2016 – Emilia Wickstead is highly regarded for her ladylike designs and cites Kate Middleton as an admirer. Today, the opening looks of her ‘Reluctant Pink Lady’ collection comprised of voluminous smock dresses in oversized tile prints and accents of yellow ochre which clashed beautifully with the surroundings. Simple dresses with billowing puff sleeves appeared in shades of peach, orchid and white, most paired with mustard or pink flats which featured throughout the show.

Dazzling yet demure, girls in thick candy stripes paraded down the pink carpet sporting oversized collars and puffball skirts. Designs were really focused on form and there were a range of interesting silhouettes as a result. Floral slim leg trousers were worn with long open shirts and ankle length skirts paired with short crop tops which played with proportion in a cool and quirky way.

Stand out pieces included a striped pencil skirt with embellished eyes and the mixed floral gowns which injected some fresh feminine glamour. Wickstead is perfect for the modern day ladies who lunch, it is clear why she has been given the royal seal of approval.
