Bottega Veneta

Bottega Veneta Woman Autumn-Winter 2016 – Bottega Veneta’s collection was a cool one, a subtle change from other Milan shows so far. Pantsuits were the focus of the collection, with a moody palette of blacks.

Grid prints were blown out of proportion and printed onto almost everything, ranging from high waisted culottes to form-fitting knit dresses. There was penchant for knots; via cinching of the waist, tying micro thin scarves around the neck and finally belting leather coats also around the waist.

Wider scarves also made an appearance while casually flung around. Some grid patterns of moss green and faded yellows, created crocodile effects on glossy leather jackets. There were hints of shearling silhouettes, coupled with intellectual dressing of roll-necks and languid tartan trousers.

Pleated skirts were combined with knit bodices for 1950s flair, whilst trippy designs of lace of mesh adorned full-skirted A-line dresses. The colours became more washed out as layers began to peel off and bras were worn over shades of lemon, cream and pink ensembles.
