Balmain Homme

Balmain Homme Man Spring-Summer 2017 – Oliver Rousteing hit yet another fashion high with his new incredible men’s fashion collection. Once again, the Balmain assemblage appeared to play with textures and materials, teaming thick knitted outfits together and going beyond even the ‘double denim’ trend by layering all denim jackets, shirts and coats. Undoubtedly, incredible embellishment also played a key role on the catwalk, with boxy denim jackets adorned with Western style studding and subtle sequinning. Balmain also showed off an incredibly diverse colour palate, from more earthy tones such as camel and khaki, to richer, more ornate shades such as royal blues. Crushed velvets and flowing silks appeared to be the material of choice for the richer colours. In terms of accessories, models were draped intricately tasselled jewellery and clad in thick, heavily strapped, black leather sandals to complete the various looks. Overall, this was an incredibly upbeat collection, full of vivid colours and materials.
