Zady has got a holiday season surprise for ethical fashion fans; a pop-up store that opened this week in New York City. Located in Terminal D at LaGuardia airport, the boutique is open seven days a week, running through to January 4, 2014.

“We are excited to provide our customers with an opportunity to interact in-person with the beautiful products that make up Zady and to tell the story behind these brands in a new way,” said Zady co-founder Maxine Bédat.

Jewelry will be available from designers including Marisa Haskell, Brandy Pham, Scosha, Winifred Grace, and Tiklari. Clare Vivier, Winter Session, Forage, and Armor Lux are among the handbag and accessories brands, alongside a wider range of fashion apparel, homeware and more.

“The Zady holiday pop-up is another way for us to reach our customers directly, creating a community of like-minded, conscious consumers who are looking for more out of the items they purchase,” added co-founding partner Soraya Darabi.

The pop-up will donate 5 percent from each holiday purchase to Zady’s partner, The Bootstrap Project, a non-profit which works to help support traditional skills, crafts and customs around the world.

Airport pop-up stores are an increasingly popular trend: in recent weeks Samsung opened a temporary space at Copenhagen Airport fusing Scandinavian design and contemporary technology, while beauty company Lalique has a pop-up at London’s Heathrow Airport from October 30 until November 12.
