UNICEF doll auction features designs from Dior, Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier

Each year in November, stylists, haute couture houses, designers and contemporary artists alike present their interpretations on a designated theme for the Frimousses de Créateurs initiative.

This 11th edition is characterized by the chic style, shimmering lights and eternal sense of wonder associated with the French capital. Olivia Putman, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Dior, Chanel, Vuitton, Gucci, Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexis Mabille, Chantal Thomass, and Richard Orlinski are among those who donated unique dolls on the theme of “Le Pari(s) Merveilleux” (a double-entendre that could mean “the wonderful bet” or “the wonderful Paris”).

These original creations will be on display at the Petit Palais in Paris from November 26 to December 1. The works will then be auctioned on December 2 at 8:00pm by Artcurial at the Four Seasons Hotel George V.

The funds raised will go towards Unicef’s efforts to help children in Darfur, namely through vaccination campaigns.
