Steven Meisel shoots Linda Evangelista for Moschino
The world-famous model, who broke through alongside Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell as part of the first generation of supermodels, appears in the latest campaign for Moschino.
The Canadian model, who is looking fabulous at 49, was shot by star photographer Steven Meisel for the images. Famed for coining the phrase “We don’t wake up for less than $10,000 a day” (in a 1990 Vogue interview), Evangelista is a longstanding muse of the fashion snapper. The black and white image shows her wearing pieces from the brand’s Fall-Winter 2014 collection with its kitsch-twist on fast-food imagery.
“People always ask who my favorite photographer is and that would be Cindy Sherman but my favorite artist is Steven Meisel,” Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott explained regarding his choice of Meisel, who has recently lensed campaigns for Prada and Louis Vuitton.
