Soft yet bold shapes at J.W. Anderson Pre-Fall 2015

Posted on

One of London’s brightest young names, and also head of Loewe, J.W. Anderson showed off his growing confidence with leather, presenting soft dresses and coats in the material with fun oversized decorative buttons.

This was “a wardrobe for the intellectually independent” according to Jonathan Anderson, which translated into bold shapes including high-waisted pants (some featuring elaborate flares), 1970s-style prints (polka dots and colorful abstract motifs), and asymmetric belted details.

The warm winter and autumnal tones of the palette were matched with plush velvet, corduroy and faux fur, and the covetable shearling coats. Footwear was also a mix of in-your-face and quiet refinement: patchwork loafers in suede and patent materials with a chunky heel.

You’ll be able to pre-order the shoes and jewelry (including metallic bauble earrings) online for two weeks from Sunday, January 11.
