PFW: grown-up glam at Lanvin

Posted on

1980s fashion icon Violetta Sanchez opened the show at Lanvin, followed by 1990s legend Amber Valletta. Both wore stunning column gowns (the first of a number showed by the brand) and set the tone for the collection’s grown-up glamour. These cocktail looks were followed by something a little more rock ‘n’ roll, including deconstructed tailoring, (with cropped arms and cut-lines marked out), leather tops and coats and superthin netting-material tops.

Shoes included chic point-toe pumps and sandals, and peep-toe boots, while accessories ranged from chunky monkey necklaces in metal to pearl chokers (the latter also appeared as embellishment on dresses). There were also plenty of lace and brocade silk looks, as well as floral and deer prints. Outerwear included double-breasted coats and classic trenches, worn with typically luxe statement leather goods pieces including the white python bags.
