PFW: fringes and flowers at Giambattista Valli

Posted on

On the Valli runway there were plenty of flowers, as we’ve come to expect from the label, but also stripes, paisleys and a few abstract patterns.

The dresses are short and lightweight, the skirts are high-waisted and paired with crop tops, and the 70s-inspired pants are worn with long tunics.

Some of the looks have a patchwork feel, playfully combining floral and abstract patterns with stripes and solids. Texture abounds in feathers, dramatic fringes, lamé fabric panels and overlapping shapes (paisleys, leaves) that flitter in skirts as the models walk.
