Paris expo explores origins and universe of modeling

Posted on

Fashionistas and enthusiasts will be able to see almost 120 pictures, videos, magazines and adverts by the best photographers, from Guy Bourdin and Corinne Day to Henry Clarke and Helmut Newton.

Shop window mannequins and couture models will be exhibited alongside photographs of human models. This will be a good opportunity to see the evolution of the top model who has gone from “inanimate object” to a fashion icon and in some cases, designer’s muse, over a few years.

“Mannequin – le corps de la mode” runs from February 16 to May 19 at Paris’s The Docks – Cité de la Mode et du Design.
