NYFW: spring is sexy at Versus Versace

Posted on

Black, white and a few touches of gold: the palette of the SS15 Versus Versace collection is simple. Here, the style is all in the tailoring, which is provocative, sexy and absolutely bold. The necklines plunge extremely deep, the skirts are short, and the dresses include revealing cutouts. Among the more remarkable details were safety pins with the lion head logo, calling to mind the iconic Versace gown once worn by Liz Hurley.

The parent label’s signature Greek key pattern also made a few appearances, including in a strap worn across the chest and in a sheer, sexy hem.

The runway show also marked a new milestone: the presentation of the first menswear pieces by Vaccarello. For the gents, the color palette remains the same, as do the nods to Versace’s iconic logos and prints.

In keeping with the demands of fast fashion, select pieces from the show are already on sale at the website versusversace.com.
