New Marni capsule collection designed by children

Marni has unveiled a new capsule collection, part of its yearly holiday season, designed “to celebrate childhood and nurture youthful creative freedom,” according to the brand.

The ‘Children’s imaginary world’ collection features graphic elements created by kids of a range of ages who live in Bogotá, Finale Emilia (Italy), Nairobi and Tokyo. They were asked to draw their own stories around the theme of ‘My own world’ and these thoughts and images have been turned into t-shirts and made into brooches.

The limited edition products will be sold exclusively in the brand’s boutiques, and proceeds will go towards schools and children’s associations. Marni designer Consuelo Castiglioni first started the project in 2007, and the new collection is set to hit stores on November 10.
