Milan menswear – What to watch out for

Trussardi

Alongside the house’s main line presentation on Saturday, Trussardi will be relaunching the Tru Trussardi second line with a glamorous ‘MashTru’ party on Monday. “In the past, Tru Trussardi has always been a diffusion line, very commercial, but we recently felt the necessity to create a specific identity for the label, considering its great potential in international markets,” said Gaia Trussardi, creative director told WWD. French singer Cécile Cassel, aka HollySiz, will perform as the brand unveil the brand’s new look.

Canali

First founded in 1934, Canali is one of the biggest names in Italian menswear. It’s an exciting week for the brand as it celebrates its 80th anniversary and unveils the debut capsule collection designed by Andrea Pompilio during the show on Via Savona on Monday afternoon. Pompilio, who has signed on as a creative consultant with the brand, will also show his own collection Saturday.

Christian Pellizzari

Christian Pellizzari is the latest young designer to be hosted by Giorgio Armani at the Armani Teatro in Milan and will show his Spring-Summer 2015 menswear Saturday morning. The Italian designer, who had stints at Jay Ahr and Vionnet in Paris, set up his own namesake label in 2010 and presented his first menswear in January 2011. Last season, Armani supported Au Jour le Jour, the emerging men’s and womenswear brand founded in 2010 by Mirko Fontana and Diego Marquez, as part of the fashion legend’s ongoing effort to shine the light on fresh talent.
