MFW: miniskirts and maximum volume at Dsquared2

Posted on

From the start of the show, lots of leg was seen on the Dsquared2 runway, where the first looks included ultra-short shorts, miniskirts, bikinis and one-piece swimsuits, often with leather and sequins. But there were also long skirts, wide-legged pants, round-shouldered jackets and a few looks with voluminous feathers, as if to give a first taste of what was to come. Then came the ruffles. Dresses, skirts, corsages and even coats blossomed with multiple layers of intricately pleated fabric in vibrant hues of ochre, teal and red.

Finally, the palette turned to subtler shades of black and gold in the last ensembles, which featured a long coat, a skirt and pants in a remarkable black fabric with a motif of metallic gold and red circles.

Besides the multicolored strappy sandals (including some versions that lace up far above the ankle), the key accessory was without a doubt the geeky, thick-rimmed black glasses worn by every model.
