L.K. Bennett Spring-Summer 2014 campaign features fresh face Sam Rollinson in retro setting

The new campaigns for the L.K. Bennett mainline and the ‘Black Ribbon’ luxury capsule collection were inspired by the traditional British “caffs” from the 1950s and 1960s.

Shot in the famed art-deco style Regency Café in Westminster, London (used as a location in the 2010 adaptation of “Brighton Rock” and in the Daniel Craig hit “Layer Cake”) the images star hot new British talent Sam Rollinson. The Doncaster-born model first broke through while she was still at school with a 2010 Burberry campaign lensed by Mario Testino and has since gone on to star in adverts for Balenciaga, Valentino & Sonia Rykiel.

The images were shot by Scott Trindle and styled by Tatler fashion director Deep Kailey. Trindle has recently photographed the Yohji Yamamoto fragrance campaign for Love Story, as well as recent features for Twin and Man About Town.

The main images hit the March issues of major fashion magazines, while the Black Ribbon campaign will appear in selected stores on February 12 alongside the collection, the black and white photographs designed to complement the luxe capsule line’s clean cuts.

Previous campaigns for the brand featured British actress (and former Bond girl) Rosamund Pike, who also designed a line of ‘Rosamund’ bags for the label.
