Kenzo teams up with David Lynch

Kenzo creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have harnessed the manifold creative talents of David Lynch for their latest runway spectacle.

According to a report published Thursday in WWD, the 68-year-old director, musician, artist and designer will be providing both set design and music for the brand’s Fall-Winter 2014 show. The runway presentation is set to take place at the Les Docks venue at the Cité de la Mode et du Design in Paris this Sunday morning.

Known for his often dark cinematic style, Lynch is one of the industry’s great auteurs, but frequently turns his hand to other artistic and commercial projects. Well-known for his paintings, he currently has an exhibition of his photography at London’s The Photographers’ Gallery, has collaborated musically with artists including Karen O and Likke Li, and has also designed the Silencio nightclub in Paris.

We can’t wait to see what he’s dreamed up for the fashion crowds.
