Isabel Marant for H&M debuts at star-studded launch party

After building the suspense throughout the year with a series of photos, the French stylist and Swedish apparel chain finally fully lifted the veil on their first collaborative collection during an exclusive event in Paris.

In a decor meant to call to mind Paris in the 1990s, with bistros, brightly lit signs, souvenir stores and disco balls, models walked the runway in the looks from the Isabel Marant for H&M collection.

“We wanted to present the collection in a way that was both authentic and relaxed, without extravagance: that’s the way I view my work. My designs are for everyone, and I constantly draw inspiration from the world around me, so it seemed natural to me to choose an urban decor for the event,” Marant explained.

Among the flock of celebrities in attendance at this prestigious event were Audrey Tautou, January Jones, Freida Pinto, Alice Dellal, Lou Lesage and Olga Kurylenko.

The collection will go on sale on November 14 in around 250 H&M stores worldwide. The collection will include womenswear and menswear in addition to jewelry, shoes and bags.

Before partnering with Isabel Marant, H&M has presented collaborative collections with Stella McCartney, Versace, Marni and Lanvin, among other leading design labels.
