In the mood of Vanessa Bruno : "Coco Chanel has always inspired me"

Relaxnews: Which famous person – living or dead, historical or contemporary – could represent this new collection?
Vanessa Bruno: I was greatly inspired by the aviator Amelia Earhart (1897-1939). She was the first woman to fly a plane across the Atlantic, back in 1928. She was beautiful, a free spirit and unconventional… for her time!

R: Where were you when you found the inspiration for this collection? What was the light-bulb moment?
VB: I was watching Philippe Garrel’s film “La Cicatrice intérieure” which recounts a mystical, esoteric and celestial trip of initiation.

R: If you had to sum up your collection in just one piece, which would you choose?
VB: A ‘parachute’ dress, worn with an aviator shearling bomber.

R: Rihanna is becoming a real style icon. Could she be a muse or a spokesmodel for your label, and if so, what outfit would you dress her in?
VB: No, sorry….

R: Which designers have inspired you in the past, and who inspires you today?
VB: I’ve always been inspired by Coco Chanel, the woman, in her era.

R: What do you dislike about the world of fashion?
VB: What I hate the most about this world is the schdules and the pace of the collections.
