Hyères 2014 winners announced

The 2014 incarnation of the Hyères Festival, as usual, focused on emerging talent, with young designers from around the world whittled down to a final ten, who competed this weeked. 

The ‘Grand Prix of the Jury Première Vision’ went to Kenta Matsushige from Japan who now lives and works in Paris. He wins a prize of €15,000 and the chance to collaborate with Chanel Metiers d’Art and Petit Bateau. Last year’s Grand Prix winner, Finnish designer Satu Maaranen revealed her toothpaste-striped and candy-colored capsule for Petit Bateau last week. 

The ‘Chloé Prize’ went to Austrian designer Roshi Porkar and Liselore Frowijn from the Netherlands, while the ‘Special Distinction of the Jury’ was awarded to Yulia Yefimtchuk from Ukraine and the ‘Fashion Public Prize / City of Hyères’ went to young Frenchwoman Coralie Marabelle.
