Fashion Week Paris: highlights from day 7

Emanuel Ungaro
Fausto Puglisi, the brand’s creative director, presented an ultra-sexy and seductive collection, with form-fitting looks and plenty of sheer and slit skirts. Black was clearly the dominant color in the collection, although it was often paired with white or brighter shades. Floral motifs were omnipresent, either in prints or embroidery.

Elie Saab
The Lebanese designer presented a minimalist yet sumptuously luxurious collection, with opulent colors such as forest green, burgundy and black. Asymmetrical tailoring and color graduations were used in fabrics that looked almost tie-dyed. The black evening gowns, often embroidered with sequins or other brilliant details, were stunning.

Saint Laurent
Retro and rock at once, Hedi Slimane’s latest collection was also sexy, including plenty of miniskirts and mini-dresses, often in glittery fabrics or embroidered with sequins. There were a few oversize pieces, as seen on the other runways this season, including a black wool coat with gigantic white polka dots, worn over a shimmering mini-dress.
