Fashion films of the week: Petit Bateau, Prada, Margiela & Mykita

Petit Bateau

The French brand celebrated its capsule collection with Finnish designer Satu Maaranen, the winner of last year’s Hyères festival, with this cool shoppable video released via Nowness. Directed by Julien Pujol and Antoine Asseraf, it shows off Maaranen’s cool prints, and explores the theory behind the clothes.

Starring French actress Léa Seydoux, this short film by Steven Meisel was released to celebrate the Italian brand’s latest female fragrance, Prada Candy Florale, and follows on from the last Prada Candy L’Eau ad directed by Wes Anderson. Soundtracked by Pierre Henry’s “Psyche Rock,” it’s a fun little short.

MYKITA + Maison Martin Margiela

Parisian fashion house Maison Martin Margiela teamed up with Berlin-based eyewear brand Mykita for a new collaboration, the fruits of which are shown off in this short film directed by Julien Soulier and Adrien Landre and featuring music by You’ll Never Get To Heaven.
